It shows in the precision position of its quilting, the selection of leather from cattle by-products, the timber from forests that are sustainably managed and the creative patterns on its levers. As you approach a vehicle like the Continental GT W12, its exquisite design is revealed through carefully curated lighting.

The Continental GT is Bentley's most sophisticated open-top vehicle. The rear of the tonneau in the Continental GT, for example was the biggest piece of dark-stained Burr Walnut veneer that was book-matched. Similarly, the electrically-operated glass sunroof and champagne cooler that incorporated hand-blown and hand-cut lead crystal bottles marked a new benchmark in luxury and innovation.

The company continues to push boundaries with the latest technology and manufacturing techniques, such as the introduction of a digital instrument cluster as well as an electric tilt-opening rear glass sunroof, a handcrafted docking station for Apple iPads, and electrochromic "smart" glass that can be changed between opaque and transparent with the push of one button.

This includes cross-stitching and contrast stitching in Centenary Gold thread throughout the cabin. The Bentley Wings on the headrests and seats are embroidered with Centenary Gold, adding to the feeling of celebration. A bespoke Bentley key case is also included in the Centenary Specification, making the Bentley experience all-inclusive.

The key is made of vegetable tanned leather. It takes two days to make each one. It is cut by hand shape, sewn, sealed and polished to provide the highest-quality finish. It is sturdy, compact, and fits the Bentley key perfectly. Its design is similar to the Volkswagen Phaeton's large car key, yet it feels more heavy and luxurious.

The device is inserted into the remote control fob, and then shuts it off when the key has not been used for a few minutes. Guests sit at a series of images referred to as "mood stations" and select a series of photos ranging from picturesque vistas to sporting events - that will inspire them. Each time a selection is made, a pattern will emerge and reveals the models and colors of the custom Bentley.

The guests receive an individual key case created by hand, which contains the R.F.I.D. enabled key cards. The keys can be fitted with Bentley Muliner Personalised welcome lamps that illuminate the path of the opening door with the owner's logo or name as they approach the car.

Bentley estimates it takes approximately 500 man hours to design and put together the typical Mulsanne. A key to that time-consuming effort is a conscious refusal to take advantage of modern technology. Instead of making use of a machine to space the perfectly matched leather seats workers at the Crewe factory do it by hand.  bentley key programming  have to park their cars manually, not using sensors built-in to guide them into perpendicular and paralell spots.
